Much of the research conducted within engineering takes place in dedicated research centers and institutes whose resources and equipment are uniquely adapted to a particular discipline. The School of Engineering operates four centers and institutes that are widely used by engineering faculty and researchers from other colleges and schools across campus; in addition, engineering faculty are strongly associated with two multi-disciplinary University centers and institutes.
