Grants Development Officer

Kerrie Alberts is the Grants Development Officer for the School of Engineering. In this position, Kerrie is available to provide faculty with the following assistance:

  • Coordination of pre-award activities and processes for large multi-investigator and interdisciplinary grants
  • Preparation of proposal budgets and budget justifications for large multi-investigator and interdisciplinary grants
  • Development of background and foundational material required for proposal submissions
  • Identification of contract and grant funding opportunities
  • Coordination and presentation of proposal preparation workshops for faculty
  • Identification of potential project partners for large multi-investigator and interdisciplinary grants
  • Coordination of related activities with the Office for Sponsored Programs, as appropriate

Prior to joining the School of Engineering, Kerrie was a Grants & Contracts Specialist II in the University's Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP). Earlier in her career, Kerrie worked as a grant writer for a local non-profit organization and Senior Research Analyst at the UConn Foundation. Kerrie earned her BA in English from Ohio Northern University.
