Time does fly when you are having fun. It seems like only yesterday I started in the kitchen as a Junior Steward.
As I assume the responsibility of the Master's Chair I reflect upon "the shortness of time and the vastness of the work there is to do." Let's not waste any time in setting the craft to work. One of our missions during 1998 is to revitalize the lodge meetings with new programs and special events. I want all of you to have a good reason to attend each and every meeting. Our officers work very hard to provide quality degree work. Show your support for your brethren by attending the degrees.
Please take a close look at our schedule and make plans to attend as many meetings as you can. Plan to find some fellowship, some great degree work, and some just plain fun!
In March, we have a service project planned at Hubbard Park, and in April, a new event, an Antique Show in conjunction with the Daffodil Festival. These activities can't be run only by your officers. We need your help. Think of what we can accomplish if we truly mobilize the "silent majority" of our members. We miss you brother, come on down and get in the fun, and the good works!
Yours in Brotherhood and Service: Carl Brechlin, Worshipful Master - Meridian Lodge #77
